Taylor's Late Bottled Vintage Port 2008

€16.95
Sold Out
Vintage Port and LBV are selections of very fine full bodied red ports from a single year. The fundamental difference between the two styles lies in the way each is aged. Vintage Port is aged in wood for only about twenty months before being transferred to the bottle, where it will continue to mature. Late Bottled Vintage, as the name suggests, is bottled later. LBV remains in wood for between four and six years. During this relatively long period in cask, LBV matures and settles. LBV is ready to drink when it is bottled. LBV does not need to be decanted and can be served by the glass for several weeks after opening the bottle. Origin: Portugal, Douro. Port style: Taylor's Late Bottled Vintage Port 2008. Port house: Taylor's. Grapes: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz. Storage and serving: This LBV is ready to drink now. Once opened it can be kept for a month. Serve slightly chilled (16 to 18ºC). Quantity: 750 ml. What can you taste? Warm strawberry and plum jam aromas. Seductive floral notes. Classic Taylor elegance, balance and finesse on the palate. A multidimensional wine with an endless finish. Food & spice: Great with chocolate, almonds, walnuts and rich cheeses.
