This vintage port from Graham’s is once again a sublime wine, with the following scores and medals: – Decanter: 19.5/20 – Gold, Decanter World Wine Award – Gold, International Wine Challenge. This vintage port is ready to drink now and can still be cellared for around 10 more years. Origin: Portugal, Douro. Port style: Graham’s Vintage Port 1983. Port house: Graham’s. Grape varieties: field blend. Cellaring and serving: decant before serving. Serve at cellar temperature (12–15 ºC). Can be stored in a wine cellar until 2025 and is already drinking beautifully. Tasting notes: an excellent vintage from a very underrated year. Deep dark ruby-purple colour with rich floral and violet aromas, full-bodied with masses of strawberry character, firm tannins, and a long finish. Food & spice: best enjoyed on its own after dinner, but also superb with mature cheeses, very dark chocolate, or a relaxing cigar.
