Grapes: The grapes come from specially selected old vineyards at higher altitude in the Douro, Cima Corgo sub‑region. A field blend of many varieties including Malvasia Fina, Codega, Gouveio and Rabigato. Storage and serving: This 10‑year‑old Dry White Port is filtered and ready to drink now. Once opened it will keep for about a month. Decanting is not necessary; you can pour straight from the bottle, well chilled (8–10 °C). Quantity: 500 ml. Tasting notes: Lively golden colour with grated nutmeg and eucalyptus on the nose. Fresh and complex on the palate with a long, peppery finish (June 2011). Food & spice: This Dry White Port is a wonderfully versatile aperitif before lunch or dinner and a perfect partner for smoked salmon, olives, roasted almonds and cheese biscuits.
