A group of douro Portwine producers is asking for reform in the traditions of the douro’s portwine making rules. Such as the amount of grapes that can be used for regular wines in comparison to portwines. As the market is getting smaller (25% less portwines sales over the past 20 years) and the demand for quality red and white wines growing.
