Our mission is to promote port wine to a wider and younger audience. We believe the best way to achieve this is by promoting port wine cocktails, and to do that, we think it’s essential to have a book dedicated to the subject. Since there is no port wine cocktail book available in the world, we came up with the idea to write one ourselves.

With almost 12 years of experience in the port wine world, we know what to look for in wines and how they can shine in cocktail recipes. So, we began writing your guide to the world of port wine cocktails, taking you deep into the mixology, sharing stories from mixologists, and providing all the information you need about ingredients for cocktails, such as Portonics, Port Negronis, New York Whiskey Sours, and much more.

However, writing a book takes time and money. Funds are needed to print the book, design the cover, take professional photos, distribute the book, and dedicate time to writing it. That’s why we invite you to sign up for our mailing list and help us get the book finished. We believe we’ve created the perfect Kickstarter campaign but need your help in reaching our goal.

Starting on the 4th of August, our Kickstarter campaign will go live, and you can support us by purchasing the book or choosing from other rewards when you invest a small amount in our campaign.

What is a Kickstarter Crowdfunding Campaign?

Some of you might wonder what this actually is? Crowdfunding campaigns are a fun and crowdbased way of getting funding for your project. Instead of investing in a product or project without market valuation, you are now pre-selling your goods and get the necessary funding upfront, rather than later, so you can really kick-start your project.

In our case we are trying to get 12,500 EUR worth of funding, through the kickstarter and through producers and shops, wanting to buy/sell our book.

How to pay for a book?

Kickstarter is an American platform, that relies heavily on creditcard payments. This way they can ensure that you - the consumer - doesn’t get scammed by businesses that would take your cash and run away. If the goal is not met - your creditcard is not charged anything. Very low risk investment.

If we do reach our goal - there is still a small chance that you won’t get what you pledged - but as we are super motivated to get the book out there, we are 99.99% sure that your money isn’t wasted!
